Do I need multiple sessions?
Yes. Hair grows in cycles, and even in a small area, different follicles are at different growth stages. Laser hair removal is most effective when hair is in the active growth phase, which means multiple sessions are needed to treat all hairs over time.
The number of sessions varies based on:
-
Skin tone and hair color
-
Treatment area (hormonal areas like the Brazilian, face, men’s back, chest, and neck may need more sessions)
-
Medical history (conditions such as PCOS, hirsutism, or other endocrine disorders may require additional treatments)
How do I prepare for laser hair removal?
To ensure safe and effective results, please follow these guidelines:
-
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, sprays, or creams, and skin irritants (like acne or skin-lightening products) for 2 weeks before treatment
-
Avoid waxing, plucking, or hair removal creams for 4 weeks before treatment
-
Avoid antibiotics or medications that cause photosensitivity for 4 weeks before treatment
-
The treatment area must be clean-shaven the day before your appointment
-
Remove lotions, oils, perfume, makeup, deodorant, and jewelry from the treatment area
-
Wear loose-fitting clothing after treatment to prevent irritation
What should I expect during and after treatment?
During treatment, you may feel mild stinging and warmth—similar to a rubber band snap. Our built-in cooling (cryogen spray) helps significantly reduce discomfort.
After treatment:
-
Mild redness (erythema) or swelling (edema) is normal and usually resolves within 24–48 hours
-
Hair shedding typically occurs 7–14 days after treatment
-
Only hairs in the active growth phase will shed; remaining hairs will be treated at your next session
-
Most clients notice visible hair reduction after 4–8 sessions
-
Over time, skin often becomes smoother, softer, and more even-toned
Post-treatment care
-
Apply ice packs if the area feels very warm and doesn’t cool down within 15 minutes
-
Apply Aloe Vera or Hydrocortisone 1% up to 3 times daily if needed
-
Apply sunscreen daily to treated areas
-
Starting week 2, exfoliate 2–3 times per week to help dead hairs shed more easily
-
Moisturize regularly to keep skin hydrated
-
No exercise for 24 hours
-
No hot showers, saunas, or hot tubs for 24 hours
-
Avoid skin irritants for 7 days
-
Do not wax, pluck, or epilate between sessions
-
Minimize shaving—only shave the day before your next appointment
How long do results last?
Laser hair removal significantly reduces hair growth long-term, but it is not considered 100% permanent.
After 6–8 sessions, most clients experience a major reduction in hair. Any regrowth can be easily managed with maintenance treatments.
