LASER TREATMENT PRE AND POST CARE:
LASER HAIR REMOVAL:
AFTER TREATMENT:
First 24 to 48 Hours: What to Expect
- Redness (erythema) is common around treated hair follicles
- Slight swelling (edema) or small red bumps may appear
- Mild hives can occur in sensitive areas — usually temporary
- Dryness or flakiness may also occur and typically resolves with proper post-care, such as moisturizing and avoiding irritation.
All of these are normal signs of follicle response to the laser
First 7-14 days: What to Expect
Over the next 7–14 days, the treated hairs will gradually shed — this is not new hair growth. As the hairs fall out, you may notice slight itching or a tingling sensation, which is a normal part of the shedding process.
To support a smooth and speedy recovery and ensure the best results, please follow the aftercare steps below:
- 🧼 Keep skin clean: Gently cleanse your skin with a mild, fragrance free cleanser. Avoid using hot water, lukewarm is best.
- 🧴 Moisturize regularly: Keep your skin moisturized with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to support the recovery process.
- 🚫 Skip strenuous activities: avoid heavy workouts, saunas, or anything that causes excessive sweating for at least 24-48 hours to prevent irritations and ensure proper recovery.
- 👕 Loose clothing: Avoid tight clothes that rub or trap heat on treated areas.
- 🧊 Cool Compress (immediately post treatment): If you experience increased sensitivity, redness, or a sunburn-like sensation, gently apply a cold compress to soothe the area and reduce swelling.
- 🌿 Allergic Reactions: If you notice signs of a mild histamine reaction — such as hives, small red bumps, or itchiness — you may apply 1% hydrocortisone cream or take an over-the-counter antihistamine to help relieve the symptoms.
- 💄 Avoid makeup (Facial Hair Removal Only) : Skip makeup for at least 24 hours post treatment to allow your skin to breath and heal without obstruction.
- ❌ No picking or scratching: occasionally clients may experience skin dryness and itchiness, avoid rubbing/picking the skin.
- 🌞 Sun protection: Apply a board spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50, reapply every 2 hours if you are spending time outdoors. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds.
🧽 Gentle Exfoliation: Starting in the second week, gently exfoliate the treated area 2–3 times per week to help speed up the hair shedding process and keep the skin smooth.
If you notice any side effects that seem abnormal or are not listed here, please contact us immediately.

AFTER TREATMENT:
What to Expect:
- Redness & Warmth: Skin may appear red or flushed, similar to a mild sunburn. You might feel some heat or tightness right after the treatment.
- Swelling: Mild puffiness is common, especially around delicate areas like under the eyes. This typically subsides within 24–48 hours.
Sensitivity: The treated area may feel slightly tender or sensitive to touch.
- Itchiness or Dryness: The skin may feel dry or slightly itchy for a few days as it heals.
Mild Flaking or Peeling: As the skin regenerates, some light shedding may occur—this is part of the renewal process and typically resolve within 7-10 days.
- Tiny Dots or Grid Marks: In some cases, you may notice tiny scab-like marks at the needle insertion points. These fade as the skin heals.
- Initial purging: RF microneedling boosts cell turnover and stimulates deeper skin layers. As your skin renews itself, it may push impurities (like trapped oil, bacteria, or dead skin cells) to the surface — resulting in temporary breakouts. It’s short-lived and part of the healing and renewal process, usually resolve within 1-2 weeks.

Emsculpt NEO is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that combines high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy and radiofrequency (RF) to build muscle and reduce fat. By following these pre- and post-treatment care guidelines, you can maximize the benefits of your Emsculpt NEO treatment and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Pre Care:
Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to ensure your body is well-hydrated.
Avoid Heavy Meals: Refrain from consuming large meals at least two hours before your session.
Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing on the day of your treatment.
Medical Conditions: Inform your provider of any medical conditions or implanted devices (e.g., pacemakers, metal implants) as these can be contraindications.
Avoid Metal: Do not wear any metal accessories or clothing with metal elements during the treatment.
Post Care:
Hydration: Continue to drink plenty of water after your treatment to help flush out the destroyed fat cells.
Physical Activity: Light physical activity, such as walking, is encouraged to aid the body’s natural processes. Avoid strenuous exercise immediately after the treatment if you experience muscle soreness.
Discomfort Management: It’s normal to feel some muscle soreness, similar to what you might experience after an intense workout. Over-the-counter pain relievers can be used if needed.
Healthy Lifestyle: Maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise routine to enhance and sustain the results of your Emsculpt NEO treatment.
Avoid Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from alcohol and smoking for at least 48 hours after the treatment to optimize results and reduce the risk of complications.
